BEYOND THE EQUIPMENT: OCEAN SAFETY EXPANDS SUPERYACHT PRESENCE AT METSTRADE 2026

A new space in the Superyacht Zone adds a dedicated space for superyacht equipment alongside the Alliance Marine stand.

This year Ocean Safety will have two stands at METSTRADE, with a newly dedicated space in the Superyacht Zone to help builders, designers, captains and yacht managers plan lifesaving equipment around the way a vessel is built and operated.

From 17 to 19 November at RAI Amsterdam, visitors can find Ocean Safety on the Alliance Marine stand in Hall 5 (05.141) and at its second stand in Hall 7 (07.504).

The Alliance Marine stand will focus on Ocean Safety’s range of lifesaving equipment. The team can discuss options including the Ocean ISO liferaft range, Ocean Safety range of ISO, SOLAS and MER approved lifejackets, the Jon Buoy EVAC and Jon Buoy Mk 6 Smart Release, which enables remote deployment of the Mk 6 Recovery Module. Full information can be found here.

In Hall 7, the emphasis will be on applying that equipment to individual superyachts. Visitors can talk through matters such as liferaft and man overboard equipment selection, its position and accessibility on board, as well as equipment for tenders and ongoing servicing. The aim is to consider these requirements early, when decisions about layout and operation can still be shaped.

Alistair Hackett, Managing Director of Ocean Safety, says: “For a superyacht, the question is not only what equipment is carried.  Where is it going to be stowed, how the crew will use it and how it will be maintained. Having a dedicated space in the Superyacht Zone lets us have those much more detailed conversations and illustrate the thought process required when considering different safety equipment, while the Alliance Marine stand will allow the Ocean Safety team to talk through the wider equipment range.”

For all equipment decisions with a superyacht new build or refit, visitors are encouraged to bring their vessel brief to Hall 7 and discuss in full with Ocean Safety’s team of specialists.
