Ocean Safety Ltd informs you of this important safety warning, which applies ONLY to lifejackets listed in the table below and that are fitted with a Hammar MA1 hydrostatic inflation.
- As part of our rigorous quality control procedures, we have identified a potential non-conformity where lifejackets may not meet safety performance requirements, and which are below the standards required by ISO 12402: namely an inflation time greater than 5 seconds.
- Your safety is our top priority. Therefore, we have collectively made the decision to implement a product recall to all lifejackets fitted with the MA1 hydrostatic inflation system, that have a July 2018 or later manufacture date. We ask that you stop using your lifejacket equipped with MA1 hydrostatic inflation system. These must be returned for a free of charge inspection which will include the replacement of the MA1 hydrostatic inflation system.
- In order to carry out this free replacement operation as quickly as possible, all customers in possession of a lifejacket mentioned above are invited to contact an Ocean Safety office (Southampton, Plymouth Glasgow or Aberdeen) or email directly to info@oceansafety.com for detailed return information.
