The comprehensive RYA and ISAF Sea Survival Instructor's course, which took place at Portland Sailing Academy, lasted for five days and was organized centrally by the RYA.

Ocean Safety is pleased to announce that its Aquaspec AQ40 high performance LED lifejacket light now carries the stamp of USCG Approval.

Ocean Safety and 3Si (Safety and Survival Systems International Ltd) are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Revere Survival business from Ultimate Survival Technologies (UST) in the United States.

Ocean Safety was delighted to present a cheque for £500 to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust this morning at the Southampton Boat Show.

The Trust's Clare Ross, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the Trust, said "£500 will enable us to take one more, young person in recovery from cancer on a four-day sailing trip next year. That young person will spend those four days enjoying lots of sailing, crabbing competitions, a beach BBQ, a thrilling RIB ride, a tour around a lifeboat, afternoon tea at a yacht club and much much more- THANK YOU for helping make such a difference to a young person's life!"
